Both models provide two powertrain choices: the standard 3.5-liter V6 engine paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission, delivering 290 horsepower and 267 lb-ft of torque. Front-wheel drive is standard, achieving a respectable 0-60 mph time of 6.5 seconds and fuel efficiency ratings of 19 MPG city and 26 MPG highway. For those craving more power, the Type S trim features a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine that generates 355 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque, coupled with standard all-wheel drive. The Type S boasts a sportier feel but with slightly lower fuel efficiency at 17 MPG city and 21 MPG highway. Additionally, the 2024 MDX offers seven dynamic driving modes, including Snow, Comfort, Normal, Sport, Sport+, and Lift, ensuring a versatile driving experience.
