The standard option is a 3.5-liter V6 that offers up 290 horsepower and 267 lb-ft of torque, providing ample acceleration with a 0-60 mph time of 6.5 seconds. For those interested in a little more excitement, the 2025 Acura Integra Type S comes with a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6, generating 355 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque. This turbocharged engine shaves a second off the sprint to 60 mph, completing it in just 5.5 seconds. While the difference may not seem huge, driving enthusiasts will appreciate the extra punch. The Type S also offers enhanced all-around performance, including quicker acceleration. If you live in areas with unpredictable weather, the MDX’s available AWD is a good choice, offering extra traction and stability in various conditions. As far as fuel economy is concerned, the standard engine with FWD will get 19 mpg city and 26 mpg highway. AWD takes the highway number down by 1 mpg, and understandably so, the more powerful Type S engine sits at 17 mpg city and 21 mpg highway.

Boasting an upgraded and luxurious cabin, the 2025 Acura MDX features aluminum and wood trimming, the larger 12.3-inch digital display, and a new console for added functionality. A panoramic moonroof enhances the open feel of the cabin, which offers ample head and legroom. Cargo space is impressive, offering 18.1 cubic feet behind the third row and up to 95 cubic feet with the rear seats folded. There is also some under-floor cargo space behind the third row for items you may want to keep out of sight. The MDX’s infotainment system offers wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Google Built-in, and Amazon Alexa integration, and other tech conveniences include USB-C and USB-A ports, a wireless charging pad, and a CabinControl app for passengers to manage climate and audio.

Trim Options

Six trim options of the 2025 Acura MDX are available for sale, some of which come with standard FWD and the option to upgrade to AWD. THe Advance Package adds a little more luxury with heated and ventilated front seats with a massaging function, open-pore wood accents, third-row USB charging ports, a heated steering wheel, and 16-way power adjustable front seats. The A-Spec Advance Package is a blend of the sporty exterior elements of the A-Spec Package and the extensive comfort features of the Advance Package. Sitting at the top of the ladder is the 2025 Acura MDX Type S Advance Package. It offers the more powerful V6 engine along with 21-inch wheels wrapped in performance tires, Brembo brakes, an adaptive air-suspension with auto-leveling, and the impressive 31-speaker premium Bang & Olufsen audio system. You also get all the perks that come with the Advance Package.
